🗞️ Well-Hosted: Issue 1

A newsletter for wellness event hosts by event hosts

WELL-HOSTED is your bi-weekly newsletter for all things wellness event hosting - trends, platform updates, tips, and insider insights to help you create the most fulfilling and successful events.

As event hosts ourselves, we know the highs (a room filled with the best people) and the lows (last-minute cancellations, venue struggles, etc 😩), and we’re here to help you feel supported, inspired, and always ahead of the game.

Let’s get into it…

📢 Event Trends & Insights 📢

Tips & Data for Better Hosting

  • Trending Now:

    • "Try-It-Together" Experiences: People love experiences that help them break into something new without the intimidation factor. Think beginner-friendly tennis clinics, pottery nights or pickleball socials - things they’ve been curious about but hesitant to try alone.

    • Playfulness & Joy Over Productivity: Less about "fixing" and more about feeling good. Events centered around lighthearted movement (playful yoga flows, dancing), nostalgic activities (board games, adult recess), or just hanging out (structured but low-key social nights) are thriving.

    • Sensory Wellness: Events that engage the senses in creative ways (sound healing with art-making, scent-based meditations, herbal tea making workshops) are popping up everywhere, giving people new ways to drop into presence.

  • Tip of the Week

    • The "Two-Thirds Rule" for Better Event Attendance: When planning your next event, aim to make two-thirds of it feel familiar and comfortable and one-third feel like a stretch or something new. People love novelty, but they also crave a sense of ease and belonging. Whether it's introducing a new activity within a familiar format (like adding live music to a guided meditation) or hosting in a well-known space but with an unexpected twist (like a breathwork session in a record store), this balance helps attendees feel excited and at ease.

📥 Host Q&A 📥

Your questions, answered

❓Q: Can I feature my event on Bloomy even if it’s not in LA, NYC, SD, SF, or PHX/Scottsdale?

A: Short answer—YES! While we currently have city guides for those five cities, you can feature your event on Bloomy no matter where it takes place. And here’s the fun part: once your city reaches 10+ events per week, it unlocks its own city guide! 🚀😜
